The Plan -- AGAIN

I have gotten pretty lazy lately about what I'm cooking and eating.  We went on vacation last week and even though I was thoroughly rested and totally relaxed I still hurt.  My lower back hurt, my hands and feet hurt, doing simple walks with the girls hurt -- I just hurt.  So I decided to start "The Plan" again.  Not because I want to loose weight - although that helps, but mostly because I felt good while on it.

I hate the flax cereal though -- so did some research and discovered a recipe that's an alternative -- Blueberry Pear Compote.  Read through it and thought I could use my vitamix.  It worked great and tastes wonderful too!! 

Day one is off to a good start.

1/2 c frozen or fresh blueberries
1/2 pear
1/2 c water or milk (I used homemade rice milk)
1/8 c chia seeds
1 Tbsp almonds (I used maybe 6 or 8)
1 1/2 tsp agave or sweetner of choice
1/2 tsp of cinnamon or more to taste or cardamom or nutmeg or ginger, whatever you prefer

Whiz until blended to your choice of creaminess.  I don't like any chunks of blueberry skins, so I did it longer than most people would.  It turns out like pudding or a really thick milkshake.  Next time I'll add some ice.
